Kravitz Style

Introducing, daughter of a rock star, Hollywood’s resident serial dater and effortless fashionista, Zoë Kravitz. Born into entertainment high society, the product of a tumultuous relationship between guitar-toting hero Lenny Kravitz and the ever-young Lisa Bonnet; it’s clear where Zoë has inherited her wild-child streak and killer style. Performance runs in this girl’s blood and it shows in her wardrobe which boasts a variety of unusual cuts and clashing patterns. Here’s how to recreate three of Zoë’s looks at high street prices.

1-Twisted Simplicity Pictured with Alexander Wang, one of fashion’s favourites and a pioneer of ‘structured chic’, Zoë wears one of her designer friend’s pieces, which perfectly showcases his innovative work combining classic styles with unconventional materials. Although you would be hard pressed to find a dress that rivals this Wang creation, the high street has a great selection of real and faux leather dresses in similar styles. I love this leather cut-away shift dress from Topshop.

Topshop £150

2-Creature Comforts Shopping with former boyfriend, X-men co-star Michael Fassbender, in a loose-fitting grey maxi dress and strappy brown platform sandals, a summertime outfit which is easy to recreate with a Cheap Monday dress, sunglasses from Rokit Vintage and shoes from ZALANDO.com:

3- Kid Rock On stage in a floor-length vintage-style dress paired with thin, layered silver chains anda simple bracelet, Zoë opts for a boho rock look befitting of Lenny Kravitz’s offspring and suitable for allseasons. These dresses are a staple in any decent second-hand retailer such as Beyond Retro:

A woman of many talents, Zoë is currently following in her father’s footsteps and making waves in the American indie music scene. Breaking her silence during what seems to be an unofficial hiatus for band Elevator Flight, the wayward grunge girl has embarked on a new project, LOLAWOLF. Since their official debut at the New York club Mercury Lounge in November 2013, the group-a collaboration between Kravitz and members of Reputante who also hail from the City That Never Sleeps-have released an EP (LOLAWOLF) and a number of music videos which are perfectly suited to what critics have dubbed their ‘moody electro’ sound. Check out the official clip for Jimmy Franco featuring rap’s self-professed couture enthusiast A$AP Rocky:

Alongside her musical career, the part-time songstress will also be continuing her Hollywood run well into 2015 so make sure to keep an eye as well as an ear out for her in the coming months. Though her style and sound might not be to everyone’s tastes, Zoë Kravitz is definitely one to watch! Consistently donning ensembles which boast originality, she proves that style, talent and eccentricity are indeed hereditary.
